Climate Radio – new monthly show

Misc on November 11, 2012

Climate Radio is back this year with a monthly hour-long programme after a three year hibernation. As usual, the programmes are broadcast and webcast by the award-winning station Resonance FM, archived here and made available free of charge to all other not-for-profit community radio organisations. Please get in touch if you are interested in sharing these programmes with your listeners. You will be joining New Internationalist who will be featuring the podcasts on their website. The show is broadcast on on Resonance FM on the third Monday of every month from 8-9 pm London time and posted here the day after. You can also subscribe to the programmes as a podcast in iTunes by clicking on the orange RSS icon at the top of this page, then clicking “Subscribe in iTunes” under the “Actions” menu on the right-hand side of the page.

  1. Oliver Tickell posted a notice on the Google Geoengineering Group saying we could find episodes of the newly rejuvenated Climate Radio by searching on iTunes. I couldn’t find it there. How about listing it?

  2. Hi David,
Here’s how you subscribe to Climate Radio via iTunes.
    1. Click on the orange RSS icon at the top of the Climate Radio home page.
    2. On the right-hand side of the RSS feed page under “Actions” click “Subscribe in iTunes”
    3. That’s it!
The programmes should appear in the Podcasts section of your iTunes every month.
    Good luck!
    Best,
    Phil

  3. Hi – when I click on the RSS feed screen, I just get a screen that appears to be the HTML of the page. Can you provide a URL for the podcast? Something that starts with “podcast://” or “pcast://”? I’m trying to subscribe in an app called Instacast (which has access to all the podcasts on Itunes, but I can’t find Climate Radio there either).

  4. Hi Steve,

The RSS feed is definitely a feed and not the html. So if you put the feed address “feed://climateradio.org/feed/” into Instacast that should work.

If for some reason Instacast is not working for you, I have a friend who subscribed in Downcast, which you might like to try. If you are using Android, try ‘Doggcatcher’ or ‘Pocket Casts’ apps.

    Hope that helps.

    Phil
